Korean Ministry
Building a vibrant Korean-speaking faith community
Eight Core Values for the Twofold Vision
8 Core Values
1. We treasure QT (devotional meditation on the Word).
Faith is relationship, so without meditating on the Word we cannot meet the Lord. QT (quiet time) strengthens our relationship with the Lord, the foundation of faith.
2. We are built into spiritual leadership through discipleship training.
To exercise leadership in the world, we must become well-trained disciples. Disciples trained in the Word by the Holy Spirit live as a source of blessing serving the world.
3. We enjoy dynamic faith through our small groups.
Relationships in small groups (mokjang) encourage a true life of faith as we share comfort and love, enjoying happiness in the Lord. We also invite neighbors and challenge them to receive life through the gospel.
4. Worship is more important than anything else.
Those who offer true worship live a life that pleases God. In worship we confirm God's love and praise Him, and we are moved by His grace to offer wholehearted devotion.
5. We confess that we are stewards of the next generation.
The next generation are not only our children but God's children entrusted to us. We must nurture them with the Word, love, and righteousness to become spiritual leaders who change the world.
6. We obey the mission call.
We seek to be a source of blessing that brings life and love to Northern California and the world. We currently serve more than ten locations and are working on mid-term projects. We also serve the community through ASP (Alpha Summer School).
7. We serve to build families established by the Lord's blessing.
In immigrant families where worldly values are taken for granted and where there are cultural and language gaps with the next generation, we help heal and build homes as places of the Lord's blessing.
8. We acknowledge that Jesus is the Lord of the church.
Our confession that Jesus is the Lord of the church is real. We do nothing by our own wisdom or strength. The same principle applies to our church's finances and administration.
